Puzzle 758 - Figurals

This is the 72nd Custom Puzzle Craft wooden jigsaw puzzle to be offered in my ongoing 100 Puzzles Project of almost-monthly auctions. This puzzle features a print from the Poker Playing Dogs series by the late K. Chin, an artist I frequently feature in the Project. The name "Poker Playing Dogs - Got Something for You!" is my name, the print did not have a name. One dog slipping another the King of Hearts, to complete a Royal Straight Flush! This is the third "Poker Playing Dogs" print in a series of four that I plan to auction within the project. I expect to auction the fourth one in the series sometime in the first quarter 2008 [was January 2008]. This puzzle was cut in my Long Curl cutting style and includes my standard signature piece (signed, dated and numbered on the back) and a second piece (one of the figurals) marked on the back indicating the puzzle belongs to the 100 Puzzles Project. As with the other puzzles in the series, a Heart, Diamond, Spade and Club shaped figural is included.

As it happened (from my Journal archives)

Friday 5:02 pm - I have now returned from the East Coast, having traveled there for my Father's funeral. Thank you again for all emails and letters of condolences.

I now face the considerable task of working to get the backlog done before Christmas as well as ongoing family matters. I will begin puzzle manufacturing on Monday. In the meantime I will respond to all email which accumulated while I was gone.

Monday 4:06 pm - I've been working a lot today, to get back into puzzle work, reviewing and working on many non-puzzle related tasks which have slipped during this period of family sadness, so that I can focus on puzzles without a lot of interruptions.

Tuesday 9:06 pm - Mounted four prints today, for puzzles #758, 759, 760 and 761, all mounts look perfect. I did not get to any printing for the subsequent puzzles. Tomorrow, the cutting marathon starts. 300 pieces in a day is a long day of cutting for me, but I really have to start and complete #758 tomorrow (Poker Playing Dogs - Got Something for You - estimated to be 320 pieces) and then advance to the next puzzle on Thursday.

There is one customer for whom I have been cutting a small grid piece puzzle for the last three years for Christmas. Somehow, I plan to jam this one in the Puzzle Queue, should the order be confirmed - very likely. The door remains closed to all other possible puzzles, I have turned down at least a dozen puzzles in the past couple weeks.

Wednesday 5:35 pm - The puzzle cutting marathon is now in progress, finally. Today I cut #758 Poker Playing Dogs - Got Something for You!, the 72nd puzzle in the 100 Puzzles Project , and just now launched the Auction for this puzzle. Cutting went very well, the final piece count, 320 pieces.
