In year 2000 I launched the 100 Puzzles Project offering a puzzle approximately once a month, culminating with a series of spectacular puzzles with the project ending in July 2010. After that what was there to do? No way was I going to start another project like that - the effort took a huge commitment of time, not only to make the puzzles but to extensively document them!
Eventually I came up with an idea to do an Annual Auction Puzzle - that is to make and auction one puzzle per year. The first one was in 2011. In 2015 I decided the series was going to end, but in late 2015 I obtained a new K. Chin dragon painting and decided to do a 2016 auction featuring it. The 2016 Annual Auction is planned to be held in the summer to coincide with the 2016 Pagey Elliot Puzzle Parley to be held in Salem Massachusetts. The picture shown for 2016 auction puzzle is not of the puzzle but from a preliminary photo of the painting.
