Puzzle 246 - Wonderful Together
Several pieces had color line cutting, including one instance of the couple
April 7, 2002
9:15 pm - Started #246, a wedding anniversary puzzle. Did the initial cut and about 70 pieces. The puzzle will have about 400 and I'd like to complete it tomorrow after I ship #245 via Fedex.

8:48 pm - Put in about six hours of cutting #246 today, completing around 230 more pieces, bringing the total to around 300. I have about a 100 more to go. The 23" x 17" puzzle is a collage of about 35 photos, with about 55 faces (almost all of two people from the time of their wedding and later years, some before) and seven cat pictures. The presence of faces slows me down as I have to navigate through the faces without disfiguring them while at the same time being consistent within my cutting style. I have seven of the puzzle's eight word pieces done. Tomorrow I plan to finish the puzzle in the morning and then spend the afternoon preparing the puzzle for shipment, and then shipping it if there is time left. Looking at so many pictures of the couple during hours of puzzle making concentration, pictures taken in many different settings, almost makes me think I know the couple! Interesting to try and guess the sequence of photos based on appearances over time.

4:54 pm - Finished #246. The puzzle is quite impressive. As I got off to a late start this morning, there was no way to do the cleaning / inspection work after the puzzle was completed in time for shipping today, haven't even started. Not a problem as the puzzle is not due until around May 1. I expect to ship it tomorrow morning.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 4, Verse 12 (New International Version): "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." This verse was used within the wedding ceremony associated with puzzle #246. Several pieces were requested to reflect this theme:

Not sure I've ever seen a colon in a puzzle before :-)
