Puzzle #645 - Hanging Out

It's nice to cut a big Swirl Curl puzzle now and then. This big colorful print was fun to cut. Although this print lent itself to some color line cutting, but I did not do so per customer request. Because the puzzle pieces were fairly large, I was able to do the initial cutting of the large board with excellent results.

Tuesday 5:08 pm - Puzzle #645, Hanging Out by Rosina Wachtmeister, will be quite large, about 19 1/2" by 27 1/4". Today I did the somewhat harrowing initial cutting (board subdivision into manageable chunks) and then did some individual piece cutting, but only 30 pieces or so. The pace will pick up tomorrow, and I expect to have the puzzle done by late Thursday.

Wednesday 6:57 pm - Spent most of the day at the shop. My cutting pace for the big #645 Hanging Out puzzle is going quite a bit slower than that of #644 due to the larger piece size, but cutting is going well and the lithographic paper again is excellent. I'm now about half way though the puzzle, a bit behind where I want to be. With a dance class midday tomorrow and the slower than expected pace of cutting, looks like the puzzle won't be completed until Friday morning. I'm still hoping to ship it and #644 by Friday afternoon.

Thursday 11:30 pm - I cut another 165 or so pieces today in puzzle #645 Hanging Out and am now around 80% done. I'll complete the puzzle tomorrow morning (there will be far fewer car trips) and ship the two puzzles by the end of the day. Today I realized I've been incorrectly posting the name of the puzzle.

Friday 4:25 pm - I completed #645, Hanging Out this afternoon. After a week of cold weather by San Diego standards, it warmed up nicely today and I was able to complete Hanging Out wearing a T-shirt in the shop! I've taken pictures of both #644 and #645 and will have pictures very late this evening. Hanging Out is quite impressive looking.
