August 19, 2006

Saturday 3:38 pm - Printed and Mounted the image for the The Knob by Quissett Harbor puzzle. I plan to have the border designed by the end of this weekend. Monday will be focused on cutting the puzzle; the cutting should be completed on Tuesday. Auction planned for Friday.

August 21, 2006

Monday 5:58 pm - For the first time month I did some puzzle cutting, putting in quite a bit of work. This morning I designed the "Chippendale" border for puzzle #674, The Knob by Quissett Harbor and selected a figural set. I then cut around 150 pieces, cutting is going well. I've upped the planned piece count from 350-400 to 400-410. I'll resume tomorrow and should have the puzzle completed by Wednesday. I continue to plan to launch the auction this Friday.

Tuesday 5:22 pm - I continued working on #674 today; now about 3/4 done. I'll finish the puzzle tomorrow morning and will post pictures in the 100 Puzzles Project section tomorrow afternoon. The puzzle was going to have four figurals (two Seagulls, a Pelican and a Shark) and a Penta Curl, but I forgot to place two templates when subdividing the final section, so the puzzle will have just one seagull, the pelican and shark and no Penta Cur [note: I later found room for the Penta Curl, pictured above]. Other than that, cutting continues to go well. I did cut a signature piece as planned.

Wednesday 2:38 pm - Puzzle #674 is done, looks good. I'll have a final piece count and some comments here before the auction starts on Friday.
