Monday 8:32 pm - Just got back from the shop after a very long day of work. The October eBay puzzle is done with a little over 300 pieces, Swirl Curl cutting style, came out well, will have pictures, and more info tomorrow as well as launching the auction.

Tuesday 3:50 pm - This morning I prepared the boards for the next two puzzles (Marriage Proposals), designed text for one of them, and then printed and mounted both of them. Also sanded / inspected / piece counted #684, Altocumulus Sunset, San Diego, September 2, 2006, this month's eBay puzzle.

Tuesday 4:27 pm - Auction launched.

From the auction description:

This puzzle features a photograph I took of a pretty sunset on September 2, 2006, looking west from near downtown San Diego. The puffy clouds were arranged in rows and provided a great canvas for the sun to reflect so many different shades of purple, pink and orange.

This puzzle is cut in my Swirl Curl style and includes my standard signature piece (signed, dated and numbered on the back) and a second piece marked on the back indicating the puzzle belongs to the 100 Puzzles Project. There is no color line cutting in this puzzle.

The Solar Star figural design, is an amalgamation of various symbols. I design it to mean energy from the sky, as in Photovoltaic Solar Power and Wind Energy. The sun itself is nuclear, so a common nuclear symbol combined with anemometer cups helped give me ideas for the symbol.

For the record, here is a picture of the same sky about a half hour earlier a bit more zoomed out (not included with the puzzle).
