As it happened (from my Journal archives)

8:04 pm - Yesterday I had my first inquiry since the war started, and today, perhaps "the nation" is trying to return to some semblance of normalcy, as email picked up considerably with several inquiries which may lead to orders.
This morning I dropped off the 13 Bat Mitzvah project mounted boards for lamination, I'll be picking these up tomorrow. I had planned to ship them tomorrow but have decided that I'll ship them on Monday as I want to focus on puzzle cutting. Today I started cutting the 27th 100 Puzzles Project puzzle, Steps, Koraku-en Garden, Okayama. This puzzle will measure 13 1/4" by 13 1/4" and will contain about 450 pieces, Swirl Curl. I cut about 170 pieces today and will get up early tomorrow in an attempt to complete the puzzle tomorrow. This puzzle will have a bunch of eggs. There hasn't been a significant "hatching" for quite a while, or perhaps I should say "egg laying" event, but already five have appeared! The Observer, whom some say is wearing some kind of "kimono", decided to show up as "she" likes Japanese gardens.
