Puzzle 536 - Night Restaurant Reflections, Venice Italy
Limited edition of ONE
Several of my Michael Seewald puzzles have an "Italy" figural, as I've featured a number of his photos taken in Italy
As it happened (from my Journal archives)
April 28, 2004
10:27 pm - I shipped #535, Timeless Message, final piece count 135. Later in the day I started #536, Restaurant Night Reflections, Venice, Italy the Seewald puzzle for eBay. I've cut around 100 pieces. I decided to cut it in Swirl Curl and with fairly small pieces after all. The puzzle will have 480-500 pieces. Cutting is going well so far; there is quite a bit of black in the image to "show off" the Swirl Curl style. I considered cutting it in Creative, but I'm not up to the mental effort required.... there's nothing "wrong" with me, rather I'm saving up my Creative efforts for some puzzles I'll be making in May.

8:41 pm - I spent almost 12 hours at the shop today, with most of the time spent working on this month's eBay puzzle. I cut about 300 pieces, bringing the total count to around 400. I have 85-90 pieces to go and will finish it tomorrow morning. The auction will be launched tomorrow afternoon. Down to the wire, but there will be an auction this month.
The cutting is one of my best Swirl Curls ever. Eggs were hatched for the first time in a long time! There are a couple problems that I'll discuss in detail tomorrow, not serious enough to cancel the auction.

5:03 pm - Auction launched and the two boards for the remaining two puzzles in the backlog have been prepared. I plan to cut both puzzles this weekend. Dance lesson this evening, then sleep!
11:04 pm - In the current Auction I say "About 2/3 the way through this puzzle, I did cut one small knob that is too thin. I will be shipping this piece assembled next to its neighbor." For clarification, the knob is not broken. I'll have a picture of the puzzle piece, here, tomorrow.
The puzzle is currently disassembled. I plan to assemble it after I cut the next two puzzles. I'll post my assembly time when I complete the puzzle.

7:26 pm - Yesterday I said I'd have a picture of the delicate knob piece in the eBay puzzle. The puzzle is disassembled and I cannot find it. I plan to reassemble the puzzle early next week, after I've shipped the remaining two puzzles in the backlog.

11:28 pm - I did not get around to re-assembling the puzzle currently being Auctioned and I now do not plan to do so. I'll point out the piece with the thin knob in an enlarged section of the auction picture:
The top of the pole is partially clc'd, making for a thin section pointed to by the arrow
Note: I eventually did assemble the puzzle, doing so in about 2 hours, 45 minutes.
